Big Horn Sheep are not part of the deer family, thus not part of this particular comparison.

Never ate one of them though; what do they taste like? Chicken? ;-)

Don't ya have to win a lottery to hunt Big Horns these days ?

A goat actually gored a hiker and then stood over him as he bled out. It defended the body for quite some time. So a good trail gun is an excellent thread and all game should be "on" the table.

That or be wealthy enough to sponsor a lottery of your own.

My dad hunts in bear country and he carries an 8" .44 revolver (German police cowboy style) and it has saved his life. Only shoot a bear if you are sure you can kill it. A judge or a 44 will do the trick.

As an old gun collector, I just have to ask? What is a German Police Cowboy style revolver?

I am curious as well ? Most of the Polizei I met were very professional - others had seen one too many drunk GIs...

Gonzilla yes as you know the Germans have a long history of semiauto and machine pistols. The German police and military gave up on revolvers over 100 years ago. I am most interested in the German Police Cowboy handgun?

Op: im in wa as well, i feel fine carrying a 4" ruger in 357, even when im up by kettle falls. So a ruger blackhawk or redhawk, used, would be just fine. Even a taurus might suffice. Good luck.

Now Goddangit, that seems like something Norinco would be marketing.
