Default Back-up gun holster options

My agency recently adopted a back up gun policy. I already have a Glock 26, but will probably buy another S&W 642 for back up. I hate ankle holsters and I have a really thick duty belt. Is there any other options for concealed carry of a back up gun? An IWB holster wouldn't work well for my situation. I appreciate any info on the subject!

I carry a S&W 642 as a backup, in my front trouser pocket. I use a DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster which works very, very well. It is in my pocket as I type.

A pocket holster allows you to take a casual posture with your hand in your pocket, while the person you are confronting doesn't know you actually have your hand on a gun. With minimal practice, it can be drawn quickly. More secure than an ankle holster, more accessable than a shoulder or body armor holster.

$22.00 for J frames, your choice of black, or black.

Hey Guys, As another option, I would look at the 10-24 pouch at . I wear a glock 23 on my chest everyday. You can put any small to medium frame pistol or revolver in it, lefty or righty and get to it from almost any position, even sitting in your patrol car.

No perfect way to carry a back up, but another good option.
