I traded a friend for a S&W 500 blue with an 8' barrel. It is fun to shoot, not something you take to the range every time or has a practicle use it's just fun.

There are lots of 629's available, in most any barrel length you want. I have 7 1/2" 629-5 and a 6" 629-2 and I shoot both often. And then there's my 329PD... not too many of these animals floating around. I can shoot 100 rounds of magnum loads in either 629 and enjoy shooting them. Then I shoot the 329 a few times, and I'm ready to pack it up for the day.

If I had to do it all over again, I think I'd get me another 629-5 Performance Center, and leave the 329PD for the Back Packers & Hikers...

Yeah I've been keeping my eye out, but this one looks really clean and he's only asking $600. Most of the rest I've seen have been around $750+
