I used to conceal a 4" S&W model 65 quite well and easily. That's 2" shorter, but still a full size K-frame gun. I bobbed the hammer to make it easier to draw.
A 4 inch barrel K frame is roughly an inch longer overall than a 5 inch 1911. What I can't remember is if that is with the target grips or service grips. This guy is wanting to carry a six inch. Keeping it simple for my math challenged mind that should come out around three inches longer.

I also have a 6 inch 586. I have carried it in a vertical shoulder holster from unkle mikes. It was not comfortable. But it did work. I have also carried it strong side while wearing a long jacket.

I can hear Mae West now:

I'll try to simplify it further for you, I was comparing a 4" K frame to a 6" K frame (and I'm ASSuming the 6" is a K frame or similar sized gun), NOT trying to compare my 5" 1911 to a 6" revolver. Sorry for the confusion, I probably could have worded that a bit better. Oh, and mine had the service grips on it.

For the OP, I'm also of similar size, right at 6' (well, 5'11 and 3/4") and was at 220# when I was carrying the revolver.

You can carry it, but it will be harder to comfortably conceal and when it comes to:
1. The draw you are at a disadvantage with this bbl, and
2. If this is a Close Quarter encounter the long bbl puts you at a VERY distinct disadvantage.
3. You will not gain any REAL ballistic benefit with the longer bbl.
Just some realistic observations I have made in the last 50+ years of CC.

If you are the right shape it is doable. I know a guy that conceals a MAC10 with a 20 round mag in a shoulder rig. I could not do that.
