Wow I really like the finish on that after you've polished it! I have never done any cosmetic modifications. If I used Flitz on a Smith 642 do you believe it would turn out looking like yours?

I do load my own but for just a real deer load for hunting I do like is Double taps 158gr bonded hp round at 1500fps or better and the speer uni-core bonded bullet will work well. But most any 158gr sp or hp will work i well placed. Keep your shoots at or under 40 to 50 yards max and let range shooting tell you what is to far. Do you allready hunt?? Bow hunt? Make a good shot or let them walk.

I like the red dot on your 627PC. I just use iron sights with mine, but I have a similar red dot on a Ruger MK II. It works well. I may experiment with a red dot on my 627PC just for fun.

Shoots like a dream. Much faster sight acquisition and it allows you to really take advantage of that nice PC trigger in fast shooting.
