How about some recommendations for loads suitable for a 3rd generation Colt SAA in .45 Long Colt.

I no longer handload and don't want to buy some hot stuff loaded for stronger wheel guns or rifles.

if your just plinking look for 45colt ammo for cowboy action shooting. usually decently priced for factory ammo and relatively mild loadings as a lot of cowboy shooters use things like uberti guns

Just stay with basic cowboy type loads . Any lead 45lc load under 900 fps will be safe and mild to shot. maybe to far to order but check out georgia arms 45lc loads. there target, cowboy and there larger quanity Canned-heat ammo Some use new starline brass others reloaded. Good ammo over all with prices starting at 25.50 for 50 rounds for new ammo. They sell alot of ammo and avaiblity comes and goes.

My favorite reload load is a 200 rnfp with unique powder. I have a bad arm and cannot take much of a kick and this is the right load for me. I highly recommend 200 bullet weight if you can find them. .
