Which 44 magnum snubbie?

I have wanted a 44 magnum snubbie for the longest time. I have a S&W 29 with a 8 3/8", and Ruger Redhawk with a 7.5" and I would love one I could actually conceal. Sometimes I carry the Redhawk concealed (difficultly I might add), so I know I can conceal a large frame snubbie.

I don't want some scandium lightweight handbreaker so I am looking at all steel models. I am torn between the S&W 629 2 5/8" Performance Center model, the S&W 629 Talo Deluxe 3" model, or a Ruger Redhawk Alaskan with a 2.5" barrel. I honestly can't decide between these three.

I would like to add that I would want full-sized wood grips like on the talo for what ever model I do choose. So, if for example the Ruger has no wood grip alternative it might DQ it. I just like wood grips.

.460 S&W Magnum:

I like the top .460, but I don't want to invest in yet another caliber. I have sooo many already.

I have numerous pieces in: .22 long, .22 LR, .22 WMR, .32 H&R mag, .32 acp, .38 S&W, .38 Short colt, .38 SPL, .380, 9x18, 9x19, 9x21, .357 mag, .357 max, .45 Colt, .45 acp, 44 mag, .410 GA, 12GA, .308, and finally 7.62 by both 39 and 54.

And I try to shoot them all. I usually negelect the 9x21 and the .357 max the most, however.

I have the 4 inch 629. I carry it once in a while. I like it a lot. I imagine a 2 1/2 barrel would be pretty nice.

I prefer theTalo,, the grips are longer with gives better handling of the wepon. Good luck..

I presonaly carry a .329 PD with a 4 in. barrel and find it no problem to handle with rubber grips and heavy loads. But, if your not wanting that, I don`t think you`ll go wrong with any of the 3 you have listed.

Catfish, the recoil is not bad with the scandium model?

Cane, no matter the platform, you always have a great example. I bet you've always brought the prettiest date to any party, the one that made every woman say to her man, "Are you going to look at her all night?"
