I love how beefy the Alaskan looks. I still want one of those.

Nice grips on your 29, what is the make, are they Hogue?

I suspect that's what they are, I actually picked up the S&W just a few days ago, didn't get a chance to shoot it yet so I can't wait I can't imagine the hard wood grips being all that comfy especially shooting 44 mag so I'll probably be switching them out to some nice rubber Hogues or Pach's.

My Ruger in the first pic is wearing Hogue Rosewood grips and they have been suprisingly mild during recoil, but it is also a 54oz gun so that might be the difference as well.

My Ruger Super Redhawk...I"m having a shoulder rig made for it as we speak. I have a friend that makes holsters

P.S. What kind of range do you get with the scope?
I have been thinking of getting a scope for my Redhawk.
