357, 40, 44mag

Last Sunday a few friends came over to shoot guns, they usually bring whatever they can. Rocky (14) goes out to shoot with them and he uses his little 22 rifle to shoot targets. Well my friend pulls out a 44 mag and asks Rocky if he'd like to shoot it. He couldn't say yes fast enough. And Rocky's a real skinny kid, he ways probly 110 pounds soaking wet. And he gives this hand cannon a shot, 6 rounds go by no sweat:cool:, then this real big stocky guy gets up to shoot it next. This guys weighs 200 easy and is about 6'3" and is about 8" taller than Rocky. First shot he almost his himself in the face the recoil is so strong. Then he ends up shooting dirt 20 yards in front of the target with all 6 rounds. Samething with his Kimber 40. Rocky hits the target once or twice. At fifty yards away with brush everywhere it's not bad I thought, how about y'all?

With my grandpas 44mag with a 6in barrel im shooting 3-4in groups at 50 yuck. With most semi autos (dont own one) im in the 10-7 circle at 20ish yards. 357 i cant seem to shoot straight at all.

And then I found $20.

I have found the .44 Magnum to shoot more accurate at longer distances but it is a b!tch to shoot. Fun for about 12 rounds then too much on my hand.

well it sounds as if the bigger guy needs to learn better technique for shooting especially if one of pistols was HIS. A .40 at 50 yards? probly more luck than skill but still cool. i think i tend to keep in the 3 middle rings at 25 yards. now if your asking how the youngster did. it would appear hes not too bad.
