Thanks guys for all the suggestions. I have decided to look around for a used single six convertible.

I carry a 22 magnum revolver around the farm every day. A 22 magnum revolver gives better ballistics than a 22LR out of a rifle in a much handier package.
I have two Single Sixes, a 5 & 3/4" and a 6 & 1/2". I also have two Heritage Rough Riders, a 6 & 1/2" and a 3 & 1/2" Birdshead.
Believe it or not, the long barrel Heritage is more accurate than either Ruger.
You can spend $300+ on a used Ruger, or less than $200 on a new Heritage. Your call.
FWIW, the next firearm I purchase will be a Heritage with adjustable sights and 9" barrel.

I know Taurus's have seen some bad press occasionally,but I've always had very good luck with them.

How's the action on yours?Is the dbl action slick enough for informal speed work?

The triger is still kinda stiff but yeah I can dump em if I want to. Im thinking about seeing if my lgs can make it more like my ruger speed six.
