Hello "hendoproof", one factor you may want to consider is the fact that if you do pay for a nice S&W or a Ruger SP-101 you have made an investment in something you will be able to get you money back from. Usually there is an appreciation of value if you opt for the better made handguns, only you know your circumstances. You will enjoy shooting the .22 LR because its realatively inexpensive for the ammunition and there is little or no recoil so the ladies will not dread firing it. Plase remember that you always need hearing and eye protection whenever shooting. You will be very glad you shopped carefully and bought wisely. Just one opinion!
