Default 1973 python nib blued 2.5inch barrel

Local shop has this gun for sale, asking 3k with box and papers. What do you all think I should offer? Plan to keep it in NIB condition.

See if there have been any like that sold on gun broker recently, and what they sold for. NIB matters of course, but $3K seems a bit much. But what do I know?

That 2.5" barrel is likely what is driving up the price on it.
