Texas in the summer? No campfire needed. Just lay the dogs on a flat rock for about 3 minutes, cooked to perfection!

campfires are probably out of the question. many parts of Texas are under burn bans due to lack of rain.

we'll have to check. i live in Anderson county and i know we are under a burn ban. Buffalo is Leon county and the gun range is listed as Oakwood and that is freestone county.

Yes, there's a burn ban as of right now.

I don't think a burn ban covers a cookout though. (still a good idea to have an extinguisher or water nearby.)

depending on the county, it can cover any outside fires, even fires in grilles.
