I know they don't come cheap I've seen ATN's & bushnell elite6800. I'm open to any suggestions.... Help!

Best Entry level Long Range scope-Sightron SIII or the Vortex Viper PST. Sightron has better glass,tracking,and adjustment range.Vortex has a few things available that Sightron doesn't offer,but I'll take the Sightron's over the Vortex anyday.I've got 5 of them.

From there the price goes up to $1500 + with Nightforce,IOR Valdada. Some like the Leupold Mk4,but I've never been a Leupold fan.Too much money for a so,so scope.

Any ideas on the type of rings to use with the 10-50x60 Sightron SIII ? It looks like the best bang for the buck but what about this raised rings I would need & should I double up in the rings? Any specific rings you recommend?

Extra High rings should work fine,but may I ask why you want a 10-50x60.
The mirage problems at long range would kill the image view in that scope at higher magnification.
A 6-24x or 8-32x would be all you'd need for just about any shooting.

I use medium rings on my rifles with a 50mm objective,all have picatinney rails on them.
Any good 6 screw tactical style rings should work fine with the recoil pulses that the 50 cal throws at them.
I only use Burris Signature Zee rings on all of my optics,but for a 50 cal,they make some good tactical rings.

Honestly I'm new to the high caliber long range rifles. Most of my trigger time is behind my issued M4 & personal M&P15 & some hand guns I do have a .308 I have a 3-12x on it so it seemed like a good idea to go with a high power scope
