I have an old Spanish Mauser 93 in 7mm that iwouldliketo convert to 7.62 x 39. i have a lot of this ammo. I found the barrel but i am wondering about the bolt. Can i use the same bolt? Any information would be helpful. Thanx

I doubt the 7.62X39 would work well in on the 7X57 bolt face. The 7.62 rim is .445 the 7X57 is .5339. Fitting the Mauser claw and feed would be expensive.

I have a gunsmith buddy in Mesa AZ that works with old Mausers a lot. He would probably know easily the perfect way to do it, or do it for you.

I spoke to my buddy and he said he did one, but due to the bolt face issue the colt has to be cycled slowly. For what you get and the pain of converting it, you might as well find a mini Mauser like the CZ 527M.
