Default Getting Started in S.C.

A relative of mine is looking to get a carry permit in S.C. They have little to no experience with firearms so my first suggestion was to find a good NRA instructor in the area. They're located just south of Charlotte, N.C. Since I'm up in the northeast, I'm not familiar with the laws and resources in S.C. Any suggestions?
