Good + cheap places to shoot around Beaverton
 

Hey OR forum I am fairly new to the PDX area, in from southern OR. Where you can pretty much drive 30 mins and be able to find a good spot to shoot in the woods. Any good places around here to go?

I don't know where beaverton is. I live in southern Oregon too and i just drive up in the mountains

Not really. There are ranges in Sherwood and Newberg. Sherwood requires membership, LAME, and Newberg is a flat $10 fee each time. I'm sure there's something else out there but that's all I know.

If you are on BLM lands they too have some rules. You would need to look up on the internet the are you are going.

I have gone west from Portland on hwy 6 to Tillamook turning south near mile post 27. And sometimes west out hwy 26 to Seaside turning soouth near mile post 30.

Hey savageglock I'm also new to Portland but have shot at a few places locally.

I've been to beavercreek armory a few times and its actually a nice little indoor range although a tad expensive. It can also get busy at weekends but the people running the place are very nice and friendly, they even gave me a card for a free lane rental the last time I was in there.

Last sat I drove out to a place called browns camp in the tillamook national forest. it was my first visit but I wanted to check it out as its free being unincorporated land. It took about 50 mins from the Raleigh hills area of SW Portland (not far from Beaverton). I would of stayed longer than the hour I was there but it started raining pretty hard.

I'm thinking of hitting beavercreek armory this coming Sunday!
