thanks, sadly it's not a real thompson it's a Volunteer Enterprises Commando mark V, & it can't take the drum mags. oh well, it's still fun to shoot & was WAY cheaper than a Thompson.

now if i could find the 9mm version cheap, all my zombie guns would be the same caliber

no they haven't made them since the early 80's i believe. every now & then you can find them for a good price on the auction sites but at the moment some of the sellers are pricing them close to thompson prices.

they have really basic sights but once you get it dialed in it's pretty accurate & with a bit of polishing & some mag tweaking, they run really well.

i would also like to mention, that according to the zombie survival guide, the best zombie reference available....

the semi auto carbine is the best firearm for dispatching the undead. and the best among that group is older, war tested battle rifles such as the M1 CARBINE. too bad this one is my uncles.

I would hit Walmart for small caliber for headshots in a .22 rifle (cheap and ok for a head shot) stock pile those and buy the biggest box of .45 I can for upclose and personal and a machete for real up close and personal is in order. Here is an idea....why don't people use those armor chainmail suites that divers use when sharks attack? If a shark can't get you I am willing to say a zombie would mess his teeth up. Just saying

Good idea on the ammo I'm already way ahead of you! Lol but the chain mail suit would be a great idea but there's a reason divers wear them in the water!! Out of water those suits are really heavy and you wouldn't be getting that far from a horde of zombies with out getting fatigued, and we all know zombies don't get tired because they feel no pain and they don't run out of breathe, like a normal human would!

Thats absolutely right. I do shark diving and teach scuba. Those chained mail suits have some weight to them. There not that heavy but if u were to run with them u would gas out fast.
