Can't remember for sure, but the title spelled zombies as "xombies". I may have it, I'll check the book shelf. It had a slightly different take on the theme, something about a bio engineered virus trying to create super soldiers I think, but something went wrong and in the absence of oxygen people were being turned into the fast berserker type zombies. Its hard to explain, you'd have to read it.

But yeah, in the book, a band of militant type survivors were using zombies on a treadmill to generate electricity. It was pretty different, and I want to say it was in the juvenile fiction section at books a million.

Nothing wrong with a zombie thread, it's your attitude that's the problem. You never answered the question whether you served your country so it's obvious you didn't. Respect those who did.

You say people think you're a kid - well it's because you act like a kid and write like a kid, simple as that. A grown up learns a little tact.

Now back to the topic.

Won't work. They'll just rip their foot off and keep coming at you.

Here's what will keep me safe. Each dog weighs about 12 pounds. That's 24 pounds of killer dogs.

What if they get bit? Then I guess it's still 24 lbs of killer dogs, except they're after you!

Found the book. Its called "Xombies: Apocalypticon" its part of a series, the first book I think.

Its described by A.J. Mathews (another writer) as "28 days later meets lord of the flies...bone chilling"

Its a good book. A little over the top I think for "juvenile".

Is that a pit bull? I came across one of them after I put my gun up after coyote hunting in the pasture. It crept up behind me and when it was about 50 away I heard its chain rattling (the chain wasn't small either) and I drew my hunting knife and ran at it. It ran off but if I see it again I'm gonna kill it. I can't have feral pit bulls running around near new born calves. I do see their potential in a zombie apocalypse, but I just don't like em.

Edit: Here is one of my zombie fighters
