Unless you had a complete lemon then that is a ridiculous overstatement. If you had a lemon it should gave gone back fir warranty work. Hi-point has one if if not the best warranties in the business.

They may be ugly and heavy. But they go bang, are very accurate, and tame recoil.

They are not the worst ever.

Ghastly, cheaply made and unreliable. Going bang isn't a high point (get it?) of a pistol. It just means the firing pin and the primer are doing what they are supposed to. The warranty is the only good thing, no questions asked, that's awesome. I would only use a hi-point as a drop gun.

What is the worst gun ever to you? I should pose that question to the forum

I've got a 15 year old Hi-Pioint, 9mm carbine. It has shot thousands of rounds flawlessly! Swapped out stocks and it's good to go! Would I pick it up over the LMT in a life or death situation? No! But it's light, relatively accurate and goes bang every time I press the trigger. I paid 180 for it then and have gotten every penny out of it.

Agreed that the carbine is an awesome plinker. Overall reliability is lacking and when it comes down to weapons, YOU NEED TO KNOW THEY WILL FIRE ACCURATELY ALL THE TIME EVERY TIME. But, if you are looking for a cheap piece of crap that will just put holes in paper then pay 140 bucks for a hipoint.
