The youngster was not one of the grandkids (I don't think ) but we have to have him hold off for a while- he was 10. And there are some internet protocols we have to follow for unaccompanied children that young.
Oh, I can still trade emails (with his folks approval) And when he makes it to 14, he can rejoin us. We DO have a few folks here as young as 14, but we can't go below that.
Nice kid, good manners. In my opinion, kids need to have a grumpy old man they can borrow to take them fishing or rabbit hunting. Parents tend to be overworked. When I was a sprout, my grumpy old man was one of my great uncles. We'd go fishing, and I learned how to tie knots, find live bait, dress fish, and chew Beech-Nut (no, not chewing gum! )
