The only pistol that I want, that I don't already have, is a Luger. Somehow, I just can't get off my tightwad pocket-book to buy one. Who knows, maybe one day I will win the lottery and buy one, except, I am too tight to buy lottery tickets.....

I like you guys, so I'll share my secret... I show my wife a thousand web pages of guns until she says "ugh! They all look alike and I'm happy with mine!" then I start talking ballistics and mention that my old gun (the new one she hasn't seen yet) is superior to some other one I want. I make sure the "switch" gun, the one I tell her I want, is top-shelf. Something in the $1800+ range. THEN, I say "I can settle with this old girl (the new pistol) for a while longer.
Either this plan works like magic, she thinks I'm insane, or she's too tired and frustrated to want to talk guns any more.
