A Ruger Super RedHawk .44Mag Alaskan 2.5" would be a great carry weapon. Loaded with Cor-Bon 300gr cast rounds it would be a stopper.
How much does that Alaskan weigh?

I found the weight! 45 ounces. I don't know about you guys, but I would much rather have a 9 ounce .380 than a 45 ounce .44 magnum!

Mine keeps changing. Right now I'm looking at the Taurus Judge chambered for the 3 inch.

A M1911 Colt Government and a non-refurbished 941 Nagant revolver with wood grips, and battle-worn condition with original leather holster and free 7.62x38r ammo

Right now I want a double action .44 magnum with a four or five inch barrel for a woods gun. A 4" 629 or possibly a 5.5" Redhawk will fit the bill.

I already have a 9 oz peashooter. It's ok for walking my dog were the biggest danger is a copperhead. Broke down in a bad neighborhood I want the Alaskan. I want a gun that will down a couple bad guys before they get their tilted to the side aim on me. Even if I miss the muzzle blast will set any excess hair products on fire.
