I love my XD. The wife has a 345 as her purse gun. I haven't had any issues with either, both have performed solidly. But XD feels better to me and has a lot more in the mag.

i love my xdm. my main ccw is a xdm compact in 45acp 13+1 and comes with a shorty 9+1mag if printing issues need to be avoided.

i really like the grip safety which requires your paw to be gripping the gun for it to go off. the slightly wider backstrap distributes the recoil very well making it a really fast gun for followups.

the 9mm xdm come in 19+1 capacity which is really tempting

I have been really happy with my XD45. I haven't had any failures or malfunctions with it so far.
