I'm starting to see Kahrs with manual safeties. Kahr has a PM9 with one, but it ain't cheap. The PM9 is smaller than the CW9.

I bought my wife a Sig P238 for Christmas. She loves it. It's based off a 1911 so what is there not to like about it? She keeps it loaded with Hornady Critical Defense. The trigger and sights on the gun are awesome by the way. Oh, and no grip safety to complicate things. Read a few reviews on it some time.

Thanks a little more than we wanted to spend but will definately take a look a it . Went to Sigs website and it. Looks like a nice gun. The gunstore up the street stocks those as well. Jerry

I didn't pay all that much for hers. I got it from Academy Sports for $430 plus tax. It's the black one; I think they're cheaper.

Thanks again, Checked them online and they don't offer the p238 online. Will have to find a good online price if she decides on this one as my gunstore will match it. Jerry

Do you have a gun range nearby where she can rent a gun and try it? I have found that women are just as picky as men when it comes to guns they like. I have a close female friend who carries a Sig 239. One of my old girlfriends carries a H&K P7 and my current girlfriend likes my Kimber but I'll be damned if she's getting my Kimber! With a smaller gun I would stay away from the snappier calibers, such as the .40 or .357sig.

Unfortunately there is very little selection
at the gun range I go to. A couple ranges
in Central Florida stopped rentng guns completly
since a lady went with her son to Shoot
Straight range in Casselberry Fl, rented a
gun and then used it in the range stall to
kill her son and then herself A couple months
later a 26 year old man rented a gun and
killed himself. Can't blame them for being
leary Jerry

Get her dirty, then clean her so she starts to respect you. When her trust is complete, she will serve you well for a lifetime!
