Default Wife just bought an FNX-9

I made a lot of recommendations.

Glock 17 or 19
Smith & Wesson M&P9
Springfield Armory XDM 9mm
Ruger SR9

After her careful consideration of my suggestions and her own research and handling, she decided on the FNX-9, one I hadn't even discussed with her.

She seemed to like single action & double action, but I also think she liked the idea of an extra safety.

So, now we have yet another incompatible magazine

Very nice. I have no experience with the FNX but they sure seem to get rave reviews. While Glock and S&W are struggling to keep up with demand, FNH has stepped in to fill the void. I have a feeling that in the process they are going to get a strong foot hold in the US gun market.

I read somewhere that the FNS/FNX will fit M&P holsters too.

None of the local shops had Glocks for sale, she's familiar with the Glock 21, my firearm of choice (but I'm going to have to check out the FNX-45 now). They had some S&W SD9s and M&P9s but she just didn't like holding them, I'm not sure why she didn't like the SR9. This isn't her carry firearm so I don't think she even thought about a holster, but even for a quick access home defense pistol, a holster isn't a bad idea to have around.

I liked how she handled the salesman too, at first he thought it would be one of those easy woman sales, just show her something pink and she'll hand over her credit card, but after the pink revolver came out, she explained that she was doing fine on low capacity firearms and wanted a full sized standard capacity pistol. I really need her to tell me that story again, it was great!

I have the FNS 9. I've only put about 600 rounds threw it so far and it has been flawless and a pleasure to shoot. I'm sure she will be very happy with it.

Thanks to Maryland's 4 to 6 week backlog on background checks, I'm afraid that pictures will take a while.

I was at Gander Mtn yesterday and spine with a man and his wife about a gun purchase. Holy balls Gander Mtn is through the roof on gun prices.

Default It Happened

In Maryland, pics take 51 days.

Now, what to do with those 10 round magazines? I have 3 17 rounders already, but I think I'd like to trade these for their higher capacity brothers.
