It would. But the best semi auto for pistol whipping is a Stainless Steel Colt Gold Cup, or one of the Stainless Enhanced models. Lots of heft and sharp edges.

The only gripe I have with Glocks is that it is too easy to strain a muscle when pistol whipping with them. Better to hold by the slide and dust cover and use like a hammer. And then you stand a chance to plug the rear sight with little "meat" punch outs.
