Why are .380 Glocks for law enforcement only?

Was in the Glock website trying to commit the size and caliber of the different Glock models to memory, and I noticed that the models 25 and 28 ( both in .380) were marked as LEO. Even though I don't have any desires to own either gun, I thought this was odd. Does anybody know why these are LEO guns?

Oh I don't know......

Gaston Glock meant ALL his inventions to be owned by the Military Only.

That foray didn't pan out, so he "lowered the bar" to include the Law Enforcement.

Surprisingly the LEO community didn't immediately embrace the plastic wonder-weapon.

So Gaston again lowered the bar to include you and I.

So if you are wondering why some models aren't available to the public, the truth is NONE of them were meant for you!

I gotcha, but the thing is it was ONLY .380s. I mean it seems like somebody could be more lethal with a .45 than a .380. The logic just doesn't add up. (by the way, when Gaston was 84 he married a 31 year old woman)

I believe they are for European police only, no North American police use .380 Auto.

Why not a p938?

The Sig P938 is 9mm. I thought this was about .380's. I realize it's about a Glock .380, but every good thread needs a little drift. ;)

He also was attacked in his 6 car garage and was either hit with, or used a, ball pean hammer during the attack where he put up such a fight the two attackers fled.

Neither of these events has me clamoring to kneel at the alter of porcelain and plastic.

The man was a fraud, a Charlitain and had no interest in the concealed carry, self defense we hold dear. He was a bathroom accessory "inventor/designer" who couldn't make it in the "cut-throat" world of fixture sales.

Given the chance, I would punch him square in the throat, because he deserves as much mention in the realm of small arms legends as Barry Bonds deserves in the Hall of Fame.

Their is a point system the goverment uses when it comes to importing firearms and the 380 doesnt score high enough to be imported because of its caliber i started a thread a while ago about this

Don't sugar coat it JD.
