Is it the GLOCK in your avatar? Many people have done it on GLOCKs and personally, I think it looks real nice. I don't know about white out though, crayon works, and some folks have had good results with white fingernail polish.

If I had a black XDm I would do blue,red, or gold just too see how it looks then take it off. I think the gold would look sharp.

i like white lining on the stamped markings for sight adjustments on iron sighted rifles

Locate some 'glow in the dark' nail polish - I use it on three-dot sights as well.

Glow On on sights works the best I have tried so far for glow in the dark paint.
