The Sigma was made for a year or so back in the second generation days if I"m not mistaken. There is not many around though. Say a new one would be next to impossible to get

As far as caliber, I'd probably opt for a 9mm. This gives you a bit of flexibility in terms of calibers on hand and 9mm can be found very cheap on occasion...
Yeah, this was Spitty's other big complaint, wasn't it? I'm not sure which models have or don't have the mag disconnect; mine doesn't.

I haven't shot a lot of .357sig rounds but have shot a lot of 9mm. 9mm is cheap and comes in every flavor of bullet/load out there. My daughter has the M&P compact 9mm, it is a lot of fun to shoot and with jhp +p ammo it is a good carry pistol. I guess it's up to you if the the .357sig round offers more than the 9mm and your willing to pay for it.

I went to the Gun Shop today and Groped an M&P, I liked the fit and feel. I do still want to shoot one. Even still I believe I am going to go with the 9mm.

Now, it is time to save the Money.

Late to the conversation, but I add my vote to a M&P sub-forum.

Mine is in .40 S&W and comes everywhere with me. Would not own any other polymer handgun except the M&P.... love it.

No, I didn't like how the barrel extend out further from the frame.

Notice the Difference, I know it is a weird reason, but it is something I don't like seems to throw the Feng Shui off a bit to me.

No. Not unless you were going to use it for competition.
