Where's the love?
There is a 1911 subforum, a GLOCK(make sure I spell it right for the GLOCKsters) subforum, and an XD Subforum.

Is there anyone that owns a M&P or (Just want to mention it)Sigma?

I am thinking about an M&P. What is everyones take on this pistol?

It's an excellent pistol. They sell a lot of them at the shop and no bringbacks or complaints. I personally just don't favor polymer pistols.

M&P's are great.

The 9mm rental gun at one of my local ranges has many, many thousands of rounds through it will no problems. The range staff said the M&P .45 has not been problem free, however.

I've cc a M&P 45 for more than four years, Some don't like the trigger but it has not been an issue for me. My son carries the same CC and my daughter carries a 9mm compact model. Not because it's what I gave then but becase it what fits them well. No issues and a fine pistol in your time of need. It's not a target pistol, might be if you put in the effort but it isn't the pistols intended use. Bottom line if that time comes this pistol will serve you well, easy to operate, fits the hand well and easy to carry. 10 +1 in the 45 is more than enough to protect yourself. Ambi mag release and quality mags from S&W makes this a solid choice. I have over 4k rounds though my 45 and don't see a lot of wear in the barrel or moving parts. I carry mine daily and it still looks almost new.

I'm not real big on poly handguns but if I was going to get another one I'd consider the M&P. I've owned Glocks, had a Sigma (really liked it for the money).I still own a Browning Pro 40 but it does not see daylight all that often. If someone was to ask me about poly pistols I thought were worth having I'd most often suggest the M&P or maybe the Sigma. They are pretty nice weapons and wont kill you on price.

M&P is the only non 1911 poly pistols I would own, besides an HK and lastly, a Beretta.

Fit, functionality, reliable, and accurate.

Love my M&P9 Pro. Spitty, I believe it was, had some serious beef with the M&P his department issued him, particularly the trigger, but I can't complain about the Pro trigger at all.

OK, so know I have settled on the M&P, next question. What caliber? I am leaning towards .357sig, I like this round. Also this is what my wonderful Sigma is. I have .45's so I don't want another(right now). I am now stuck between either 9mm or .357sig, I am not interested in .40, leaning heavily towards .357sig.

Let's hear about what you like and why?

Bask in the beauty of the M&P.

Maybe this can push my Sigma back into the safe.:D

Not Sure Why there is not a M&P/Sigma sub forum.

My opinion is get either the .357 sig or the 9 mike-mike. Hope this helps. ;)

That was great, tremendous help. You nailed it.:D
