Depends, is that the SR9 full-size? The Glock 26 is tiny by comparison. Are you looking for concealed carry?

For around $500 you can hit a pretty broad range. I like the Magnum Research Baby Eagle series myself and the CZ-75B they are based on are good guns as well. The Baby Eagle can be found in full-size, semi-compact, compact, steel frame, and polymer.

Glocks are pretty much the gold standard for mid-priced guns. SIGs and HKs are nice but a new one will run much higher than $500.

I can highly recommend the Ruger P-series. I've never fired the P95 but I had the predecessor P89 and it was a tank. I've seen nothing but praise for the P95's reliability.

If your local gun range does gun rentals I highly encourage you to check them out. It will be well worth the cost of a rental gun to end up with something you like.

The Ruger SR9c is around $400. My wife and I each have one. I bought mine after shooting hers.

A pistol for.Conceal carry, use a striker fire smith, glock or Springfield armory. These guns all function without problem and they are DAO which is good if some bad guys shyster tries to sue you saying you accidentally shot his client. There is no mistake with these you squeezed the trigger on purpose.

For play Browning is the best 9mm. Rent them, shoot them, read about them, take your time and get a good deal on your choice.. Browning Hi power is J M Brownings improvements to his 1911 with a little help for his Belgium friend..

. I have an SR9 C. Great gun. I shot several polymer pistols when I was looking to buy and shot it the best so that's what I bought.

The one that you shoot the best and feels the best. Also you want it to have all the controls where you can easily use them without much work. For me I like the Beretta 92fs. But maybe you should go to a range that lets you rent pistols and try a few out. Good luck with your shopping and have fun and stay safe! Also show us pics when you get one!

I shot both the S&W MP9C and the Ruger SR9C and I loved em both. I purchased the Ruger SR9C because it was on sale $399. Both made in USA!! The Ruger is thin and easy to carry (is my ccw) and came with a 10 rd mag (with 2 different bases for the pinkie finger) and a 17 rd mag that also fits the full size SR9.
You won't be sorry with either one.

I have the SR9C too. Great gun. Shot 500 rounds so far without issue even with cheap ammo.

All the guns recommended are great guns. It honestly comes down to personal preference.

What feels good in your hands and how much do you want to spend? Are you looking to CC this gun? If so, size will come into play.

Take your time handling any firearms you consider buying and go with what you like in your hand.

I personally love my M&P Shield for CC and my M&P VTAC 9mm for HD. I love the way they feel in my hand and am partial to products made in 'Merica.

To each there own. All mentioned are high quality.
