Ruger specifically markets the SR22 as being designed to function reliably with all kind of 22LR ammo, not just hyper-velocity stuff - which I think is intended as a dig at the Walther, some of which have been reported as being rather finicky.
On the other hand, my Dad's P22 as well as my own which I sold to a brother a while back both always have worked fine with everything we've tried in them so; the Walthers certainly aren't all bad.
I haven't had a chance to try my SR22 yet, but I'm pretty excited to "give it a whirl."
I just got back from the range. Wasn't impressed with the SR22 out of the box, but now I have 250+ rounds through it, I really like it. It took about 100 or more rounds to adjust the sights (never had a Ruger that came with dead- on sights). And after a malfunctioning magazine issue (Ruger replaced no questions asked), this little plinker is good to go 20 yards in. I might even buy some stingers & carry it once in awhile. I know, this is a180 from my previous thread, but this little plinker is the real deal.
