I've thought on this since it started & still not 100% sure what was my 1st (handgun) was but i THINK it was a little RG 22lr
Now I do remember my 1st brand new real handgun, it was a Arminus (sp) 357 my wife bought me at Walmart -- I thought it was a cannon at the time

My first handgun was my Colt Series 80 Combat Government Model 1911. I still have it.

My first was a snub nose blued .38 S&W that my mom gave me because she didn't want it because she has/had others. I ended up trading it in for my XD-40, kind of wish I still had the snub though, if I knew the LGS still had it, I'd go buy it ASAP and not let it go again.

I bought 2 western style 22lr revolvers. Dont remember what brand they were. But I went into a hardware store and saw a pile of handgun boxes on a display in the middle of the floor. I picked up 2 of them went to the register and paid cash. Out the door with no paperwork or background check of any kind. Those were the good old days. They were something like $65 each.

About 10 hears ago. HK usp 40. No paperwork. Guy had two. Now that I think about it it could of been a sketchy deal. Oh well. Love that pistol! Still have it.

My first handgun was an American Bulldog .38 spcl. It had belonged to my dad's dad and was in bad need of repair when it got to me.. They basically were the Saturday Night Special of the day... The first handgun that I purchased was a Ruger Mk1 target model .22 that was many moons ago and it's long gone...

The first pistol I ever bought was a Kel Tec P3AT. I had a few guns given to me before them but none of them were pistols.

First handgun i shot was an old nine shot .22LR revolver, maybe an H&R or something, not sure on that as it has been about 30 years. First i "owned"/was gifted by my dad was a AMT Lightning 22LR, basically a knockoff of the Ruger Mark 1 target pistol, 6.5" or 6.75" tapered barrel, stainless. I still have it (and the box & allen wrench) but need to have a factory weld in the lower evaluated by a smith for safety and need to replace firing pin. Dad let me try the revolver & compete in one shoot at the local cop range; shortly after the competition, he gave me the AMT. I think this happened when i was about 9 or 10.

My first centerfire handgun was a snubby Titan Tiger for which i traded my aging grandma an airhorn (easier trigger). I was 15, riding with a snubby in my car door pocket.
