How's that 1911 workin out? I saw you had some desert ironwood grips coming. They are awesome. Wicked Grips makes a limited number of DI sets...they run around $165 plus shipping!!

You have expensive taste, my friend...

The gun is great, check out "I'm curious what it would take" thread. I'm going to really put it to the test next weekend.

Those grips? My tastes aren't that expensive, as I have charitable friends They will cost me money, but not nearly what they're worth. He's building them almost at cost I think, plus shipping.

Damn dude, we were going to keep that on the down low for right now! He's not quite ready to start making them en masse just yet. I was going to post a pic of them on the gun, and THEN introduce the maker!

When I was a young kid I got to shoot an old officers colt .38, and I fell in love with the 1911...hook, line, and sinker!!
About a year and a half ago I was about to graduate college and thought that I had earned something for my efforts! Needless to say I researched and looked at, fondled, researched some more and wound up with a Kimber Ultra TLE II .45 in stainless . While it's not an open model, I love it!! It's nothing but fun to run some rounds through and tickles me everytime I have the opportunity to light it up :-D
One thing for certain, she won't be my last!! I see a 5" in my future...

My first pistol; Beretta 90-two .40 have put about 600 through it and loving it. Very accurate, recoil is not bad and can shoot cheap ammo at the range without any problems.
