Love the compact of P229. Never owned a Sig.. as i'm always been a Glock fan.
Specially this P229 Diamond plate.

What makes a pistol the Best? To me that means accuracy right out the box and from Sig its this......

p220-x-6-detail-l.jpg

Its the 220X6, its a .45 cal, 8rd and you can shoot the nuts of a gnat at 25 yards.

Best cheap Sig seeing that the 220X6 will dent your retirement fund by a almost 3 grand is the SP2022, it's a 40 cal, holds 10 or 12 rounds depending where your from and can be had with night sights for about $450

Then there are 1911's and Sig makes them in all colors with and without a rail and its hard to not love a 1911. The range from 1170 to some I've seen in the mid 700 and are great quality compaired to some of the more higher price names and are just as good if not better.

Here is mine with a few mods

These are just the ones I own and can speak for, I do however like the 229 and the 226.

I recommend you stay clear of the 250 and the mosquito .22 cal, I hear they are problematic.

I have my eye on the sig p229 stainless elite. Good luck on you decision. Don't think you can go wrong with a sig

any SIG 1911 or I agree the SP2022 is a great gun. Can't go wrong

and for pocket carry, the P238 is a winner too. SAO .380
