The story is... ever since my daughter shot Jay's 617, she's really had a thing for revolvers that shoot .22. I've kept an eye out for them off and on...
Well, at work this little guy (676)was on the layaway shelf ever since I started working there and I drooled a little over it every day passing it on the way to sign in and out. The guy who was selling it on consignment was more than generous with the time he allowed it to go over "payment deadline". By
months.
Finally, they deemed it "forgotten" and said if the layaway person ever comes back, they'll just refund his deposit because the owner wanted to just take his gun home.
I heard that and said, "too bad you're not gonna just put it back on the shelf! I've been telling the guys if the layaway went south, I wanted it."
He laughed at me because he didn't think I was serious.
I said, "I'm not kiddin'. Is it for still for sale? I want it."
He said, "DEAL!"...so it came home with me.
Here's the bad part...
I like it so much, I'm not giving it to my kid after all.
The 922 I found will be for her if the guy will follow through.
