Default walther p22

ive been haveing some problems with my walter p22 lately (over 5000 round)
its not feeding the ammo all the way like the spring isent strong enouf to close the chamber. at first i thaut the spring was warn out and replaced it
no fix then i noitce the hammer was catching the saftey when the slide advances foward. i notice that when i oil the bottom of the slide the problem go away for about 100 rounds. then for the sake of experamentation i added a dab of grease to the bottom of the slide at the last cleaning. this time the problem went away and hasent showen up again yet
still trying to figger out if this is a perment fix or is their something else i can do

I don't want to sound negative. Now that is out of the way. The Walther .22 was the most troublesome firearm I ever owned. I cured the problem by trading it for a GSG 1911 on which I replaced the guide rod and made a nice .22 pistol.

I have one with 3700+ rounds through. Mine starts to act up as it gets dirty.

The only problem I have really is it is the California compliant version with the fixed - non threaded barrel and there is a screw in the side of the frame that dies something with locking the barrel or something. This will slowly loosen and can then cause the slide to drag.

Next time I clean the gun I'm going to put some lock-tit in.

myself and everybody I know that's had a p22 has had problems with it around the 5000 mark the only thing I can advise ya to do is deal directly with walther they may be able to help ya or they may tell ya that its gonna cost more to figure out and fix then the gun costs brand new (happened to me) i ended trading it for a down payment on a Glock 24...... then went out and got another one later... I'll never learn :/
