Sig P226 X5 Competition.

Was completely at ease with the gun after 3 clips. Only drawback is size. Not good for carry. Mine is in 9mm.

Default favorite hand gun???

Thats an easy one, CLOCK 20 (10MM) you can load'em to .40 cal, or have the magnum penetrating power of a 10 MM, good to have options!!!
If you run your just going to die tired!!!

I have 2 carry guns, not at the same time, my favorite is SigSauer P-220 in 4 ACP. If I want some thing lighter then it's my Glock 40 cal.

You want an easily concealed auto but are going to settle on a 9mm only because of the cost of ammo to pratice with....... if that's the case and you really want something bigger go with a 45 in a mil spec 1911 on a commander format, bare bones from almost anybody new or used should get in your price range. Then for pratice do something real smart and spend another $200 and buy a conversion kit for it from Ciener or Marvel and shoot 22 long rifles all day long at a difference of 10 22 rounds for the price of each 45 or 2 9mm. The conversions pop on and off quickly as breaking the pistol down for field stripping, in fact easier because you dont have to pull barrel bushings, just the take down/slide stop lever. Slide the barrel and slide off in one unit, replace it with the conversion unit, replace the slide stop and insert the 22 cal mag. Takes less and a minute if you do it right and the felt recoil is very similar to the standard 45 load. All the pistols functions are exactly the same except you may or may not have the last shot hold open depending on who made the conversion kit. My Marvel conversion is accurate enough to shoot poker chips at 50 yds on my Taurus PT-1911 so it will soon also double as my squirrel and coon hunting side arm once I get the Trijicon night sights on it.

I completely agree with hillbilly. I've had my KimberCDP Pro Carry now for about 8 years and though I have other pistols on my CCW, I feel the most comfortable with my Kimber tucked into my Yaqui slide holster or S.O.B. from Galco. I load it with Hornady 200 grain TAP ammo and carry at least one extra mag depending on where i'm going.

There are dozens more that different people will name as their favorite. You need to hold as many as U can and see what your "innards" tell you. You know that you COULD decide 2 B different and get an old TT-33 or clone for cheap. They are like little tanks, are super thin, and fire a HOT round (7.62X25 Makorov). I carry a Steyr M-A 40 or 9mm (can't get the 357). They are fat and fairly short, both of mine are SUPER accurate, and if their "ergonomics" is for you, it will REALLY be for you. CDNN is selling them now for $340. IMO they are worth twice that. MSRP has always been MUCH higher. Never had a problem, they fit me great and are VERY well built. I have one of the the little PA 9X18s. When you look at that round, it looks pretty sad, but when U shoot it, it will change your mind. Mine bites me every time I shoot it, so I only shoot it wearing a thin leather glove! Go ahead, call me a baby, see if I care.
