I guess the only argument would be Russian, East German, or Bulgarian?!

I voted Glock because they are reliable and accurate (at least mine are). I have to qualify my answer by saying that you should test drive before you buy, and get what you are comfortable with. I also don't use my Glocks for pocket carry because I like a manual safety that close to the family jewels.

Try The S&w 3914 Dao. A Compact 9mm With An Eight Round Magazine That Works Like A Double Action Revolver In That It Has Second Strike Capability. Mines Plenty Accurate Too, And Spends 50 To 70 Hours A Week Strapped To My Side. You My Also Wish To Consider The Sig 225 (no Longer In Production I Believe) For The Same Reasons. However The Latter Can Also Be Fired Single Action.

Price must be under $650

I forgot to add in the poll that if you have other suggestions please post them,

I mainly want reliability, and accuracy!

Used Guns would be a possibility.

for concealability, one must first know how tall you are, your size/body type/bone structure, weight, style of clothes you like to wear. There are MANY things that go into concealablity choices. For example, I've been able to succesfully conceal a Star Model 30 on my person with a properly fitted holster...but I'm also 6'3, 280 pounds and that does make it somewhat easier to hide a large (15+1) 9mm.

9mm has a decent amount of firepower and high capacity availability...not to mention just SCADS of great pistols available in the sub-$600 range. Oh, and by the way, get a First or Second-tier brand. Nothing worse than not being able to get parts/accessories. Have FUN!!

I suggest the S&W 40 cal. i have heard many storys of tennessee police departments using 40s and getting one shot kills. Im not saying shoot to kill, but whatever it takes to defend yourself and others. The 40 is a great round all around, you get more distance than the 45acp and more stopping power than the 9mm luger.
