Trying to decide on some .45 ammo

Hey guys I have a couple questions for ya about .45 loads. I don't know a lot about my options really, I mostly just plink and then keep a box of Zombie max about for defense at home.
I'm going to be doing some riding around in the woods this summer and I would like to get the hottest load for my .45 that I can to use in case of like lions or tigers or bears? I think Black Bears are the largest thing I'd maybe run into, besides a moose but that's a whole different story.

I plan on carrying a rifle or carbine as well but I'd like to feel like I have optimized my sidearm as much as I could just in case?

Suggestions? Advice?

There are actually more than a couple of really good SD rounds out there.. I really like Hornady products and like the "TAP", "Custom", and "Critical Defense" loads. Speer Gold Dots,Remington Golden Sabre, and federal hydroshok are also really good..and there are more

Thanks for your input. I've really only ever tried out those hornady zombie max rounds, I don't know a lot about different loads. Basically though I'm looking for experienced opinion on loads VS wildlife as opposed to home defense.

Anyone else have any info for me on this front? Like lets say theoretically is there a load that could take down a average size Black Bear in 14 rounds?

I like the magtech 185gr +p copper hollow point round . If there was ever a man stopping round this is it for the 45 acp

I was giving general info on some of the best SD ammo offered for the .45acp since there is no distinguishing difference between SD and "wildlife defense" ammunition.

The only round i know of in 45acp that will have even a remote chance of getting deep enough to do some damage to a bear is 230grn fmj. Hp rounds arent good penetrators in thick skinned animals like bears. You will just piss em off more

Try this stuff, RBCD .45
Light bullet
Fast bullet
Devastating bullet

As long as your shooting things other than ballistic gel and into water tanks.

If you are scared that either one will harm you I do not recomend this round but other than that it a beast

YouTube it.

RBCD ammo. Interesting stuff. With a lot of controversy. Many sources say that it lacks adequate penetration.
