Default Tristar

Hay guys been wanting a cz 75b for a while now, went to both my local gun shops and was told there are non to be had right now one shop spent half and hour On the computer for looking for one while I waited. I ended up Puting a ria 9mm in lay away but the first shop I went to showed me a tristar. It was a good looking gun it was Crome model fit and finish looked nice but I didn't get it because I'd never even heard of them. They also had a compact model they I really liked but was just too apprehensive about buying a gun ive never heard of. Has anyone here owns one, shot one or got any input on them. Oh ya it's a cz75 clone.

Barney, I looked at a lot of Tristar Kanik 55s at a gun show yesterday. I was really interested in any of the 120 models but only saw the compact100's. For me there were two problems. 1 - the safety was too stiff to operate with my strong had while presenting. From what I read that should break in fairly quickly. A more serious problem for me was that the grip was so big and the DA trigger so far forward that I could barely get my finger tip on the trigger. This was disappointing because I had read a lot of highly favorable stuff about these CZ clones.

What I did buy, but haven't shot as yet, is a SarArms B6 Hawk. All steel version. Grip felt like it was made for me. Comparable to a 1911 but more comfortable. Stiff And long DA trigger, but the best SA trigger I have ever seen on a stock gun. If it is over 4 lbs I would be surprised. This gun looks identical to a 75B but the safety operates in reverse. Up to fire, down to safe. They also make a B6P that is very similar but with a polymer lower, priced maybe a little lower than the TriStar. IMO if you are interested in. CZ75B the Sar B6 will be a lot closer match than the TriStar.

Should get to the range this week and will get back here with hopefully more meaningful comments. Here is a link to the same gun I got at the show. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=334278391#PIC

I have the Canik 55 / TriStar C-100 9mm stainless and out of the several guns I have... Iam most accurate with it! Very tight tolerances on the construction / fit! So far I have shot about 1200 rounds thru it without any problems... No failure to feed & no jams. My only problem with the gun is how to pull it apart to clean it. It can be tricky!

Yea I've been researching them some there's not alot of reviews on them but the ones I have read are good also I checked out the sar b6 it's a very close looking match to a cz75 eaa is importing I seen the on there web page only real reasons I was interested in the tristar was the local gun store had them in stock. I may have to try out the compact. I'm glad I didn't buy it that day after looking at some prices I found out they were going to sell it to me at full retail ($429) if I can get it for 350 or so ill probably try one out in the near future.
