I'll disagree with robocop on the 41 being the "finest" "bar none". I've owned 41s and my father still has one. They are certainly fine guns. But the early Hamden High Standard Victors are what a good portion of 22 bullseye shooters consider to be the absolute best. The design was ahead of its time and superior to the 41. The 1911 grip angle makes the Victor feel like the warm handshake of an old friend. The trigger is better than the 41 as well. Having owned several 41s and Victors in the past, the Victors are clearly the superior pistol in my experience. I sold the 41s and kept the Victors as well as added a few more early High Standards.
My father also has a Medalist that is unfired and in a presentation case. It is truly a thing of beauty. No experience with how it shoots though.
