Jus read FTF article on how to break in handgun - never heard too much about breaking in a handgun. Whole lotta debate on how to break in a rifle...
Point is I own an XDM and was not a happy camper about it until about 500 rds. Now, I really like it and would even debate the "Glockonuts" to recommend it.
Evidently, even match grade barrels can require some break in time so if you don't get the results your looking for - remember this post & just keep on shooting.
PS: article said to disassemble & lube but not clean gun. Grit & grime will act like lapping compound to break in pistol faster. I did not do this. Does anyone have technical data one way or another on this ?
The 250 Grimes up easy just from handling it, to say nothing of during it... The fn 45 is a solid fun. Also check out nighthawk, and Wilson combat. Don't rule out flock. Best advice, go to a range that allows you to hold/shoot and test... Pick the one that "feels right"
