90 rounds of 5.56 weighs less than 30 rounds of .45. If you need that kind of capacity a rifle is a better friend than a handgun or handgun round.

Well yes but, most .45 pistols weigh less than a rifle. No mechanic has one tool that fixes every job.

What about that helmet on The Fairly Odd Parents that used some sort of telekinesis to fix things. I'm pretty sure that was the one tool for every job.

In a simple shoot and reload situation it would not be dificult to empty and reload 4, 8 round mags in say 40 seconds. That would be 32 rounds.

Yeahhhh... If a single stack just doesnt float your boat and a drum mag is too bulky to lug around, try getting a xdm or glock with the 13 round mags double stack, changes are quick and mags stack like any other, just heavy if your really carrying that many of, well almost any caliber....

But since the OP mentioned a Thommy gun I figured he might be open to a rifle, carbine, or a AR pistol chambered in a rifle round.

A Glock or HK in .45 with 3 mags would be easier for packing concealed I suppose.
