Default Taurus pt145, how to tell third gen?

So I've been studying this Taurus as i'm very interested and have come to learn that the first two Gens were problematic. The third, however, seemed to have solved the major issues. My problem, or rather question, is, how do I differentiate between them to ensure i'm getting the model generation I want... The third?

Any suggestions or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.

Found this...

Third Generation

The word "Pro" was moved from the left side where it read "Millennium Pro" to the right side where it reads "PT145 Pro" The sights are dovetailed into the slide rather than screw mounted The guns are now SA/DA rather than the traditional DAO

I would think that if the pt145 is on its 3rd gen., then if you are to buy a new one, then it should be 3rd gen. And yes, I've heard of some improvements too. My buddy has one and loves it. He's not a gun guy.

Not necessarily, things sit around on shelves for years before being sold.
