TAURUS 738 TCP/.380-Cool factor?
Hi, FTers-
Who agrees with me that the Taurus (WHEN you can buy one) .380 will blow the Kel-Tec and Ruger version(s) out of the water, on 'cool factor' :cool:alone? Taurus 2009 Full Line Catalog I love the lines on this little puppy, especially the way it (somewhat) mimics the M&P with those ultra-cool cocking serrations. And, you can't even get the LCP in stainless, and when you find a (stainless?/nickle) KT, you better grab it. Neither will ever be available with a Titanium slide either, on that you can bet the farm. Don't forget the +2 mag, as well. :) My hands are BURNING-:D |
Meh...
That's my contribution. |
That's one...UGLY...gun,if you ask me...The ruger lcp is much sharper in looks.
|
I'll give it this much,
The TCP is Made in the USA, & for the money you get a second mag and a nice PDA Holster. Plus it is available in Pink which lotsa pretty ladies enjoy... |
Picked one up (the all black model) 4 or 5 months ago for "the other" carry piece in the summer when I can't strap on a full size. It isn't a bad little gun. I have a few hundred rounds through it so far. Mine didn't like the Fiocchi ammo though. It would fail to load 1 in 50 or better.
I still carry it sometimes when nothing else will "fit", but I bought a Kahr because I was concerned about the failures with it and also the .380 is (IMHO) a little under sized. I haven't been able to take the 9mm Kahr to the range yet. Merry Christmas to all you FT folks! |
nice little gun but for the wieght and size i'll keep my KT PF9
|
Meh....looks like the others to me. If I got a 380 I would strongly lean towards a Sig P238 but I'm not sure how it would do with pocket carry since it does have some sharper edges.

It says right in the owners manual of the Taurus TCP that the gun should not be carried with a round in the chamber because of accidental discharge.
