SW40VE Sigma (New)

Well, here is my new purchase. I'm happy to be stimulating the economy in my own way.

Looks good. (I had a hard time saying that) :p :p

Now take her out and get her dirty!

Lets see some targets! :D

A little side note:

I did a few dry-fires to see how the trigger pull is (everyone knows that is the main complaint for the Sigma; heavy trigger pull). To me, the trigger pull is not hardly bad at all. It is noticeably heavier than my XD9, but it is still comfortable to me.

I guess I'm part of the minority that doesn't mind the Sigma trigger.

All in all, I'm happy I bought it. :)

From what I've seen, the S&W Sigmas are 1 of the sleepers in so far as unsung bargains on the market. IF you can live with that trigger, more power to you. I have since learned how to perform/rework trigger/action jobs on them that RELIABLY reduces the pull weight approx 45%, and reset distance 30-35%. After doing that, they shoot GREAT for that type pistol.

And NO I'm NOT trying to drum up business for myself on here-just letting you know what YOUR gunsmith SHOULD be able to do for them.

Congrats...

Nice gun, I'm notice that you are falling in love with 2-tones ....but I would prefer the XD(m) in .40S&W... but the Sigma is good too... here in Venezuela years ago the Sigmas were popular but only in 9mm.
Enjoy it and we're waiting your review about your 2 new babies...

I have the Olive Drab. Love mine. Stays on the hip cause I open carry most of the time. 14+1 plus an extra mag in the pouch on the holster. Hollow points as the cherrry on top of the mix.

Those Glock & Wessons are a great deal. Enjoy getting it dirty.

SGT-MILLER 02-01-2009 09:26 PM

Yep.... I call the Sigma the Glock that is made in the USA and has slightly better case head support.

It's a Smock!

:D

SMOCK. Thats a good one, better than Glock&Wesson. I've also heard SWOCK. When Glock sued S&W for copying there design Smith made some improvements and still manages to sell them for half the price and the're just as reliable. Did you get it dirty yet?
