Forget the sig mosquito....nothing but problems....being a sig my expectations were high and I was completely let down.

Walther PK380. I wasn't too hot on them, but I got one for the wife and I LOVE it! I usually carry a full-size CZ in 9mm and don't like the idea of a compact .380. After a day with her Walther, I'm considering purchasing another

I'm a relatively weak, 5'-1", 115lb woman. I have a Sig P226 (9mm) for range and love it. My husband thought it was too big for me, but after shooting he wanted one too and agreed I made a good choice for myself. I find that the Sig's tend to be good with recoil making them easier and more fun to shoot for us smaller women. I just bought the Sig P290 (9mm) for a smaller, possible carry gun. Of course there is a bit more recoil with smaller gun but it's not unmanageable with this gun and it's still fun to handle. We typically rent guns at range (when possible) to test out before purchase. I tried several small .380's and found them all to be harder for me to handle and not fun at all. Even larger 9mm (Beretta, Glock) didnt feel as good as the P226. I would recommend either of these any day. But more than that I would recommend finding someplace she could rent one or a similar sized gun to try put first. There were several I was considering until I tried them out and hated shooting them. Small guns may be cute but they aren't always fun to shoot.
