my FFL Dealer won't do consignments any more. I am looking for a way to sell it in a legal fashion.
Or maybe just get my own FFL

Have you tried Armslist or putting it up for auction yourself?

Don't know where you live but in WA State it's perfectly legal to sell a firearm to anyone as long as you have no reason to suspect that they are prohibited from ownership...IE...don't sell a pistol to a 15 YO...or to your brother in law who you KNOW has a felony conviction, Ect...

Some states require 100% background checks "if your selling at a gun show" but short of this, there should be no reason you can't advertise and sell your private property. Only FFL'sare "required" to conduct background checks.

It is a good personal policy to draft a bill of sale to include the buyers name and address with the date of sale and file it in your safe. ^^THIS^^ could cover your interests should the pistol ever turn up at a crime scene.

Tack

They seem to run from 800-1200 dollars on the Internet.
